Louis Vuitton has unveiled its Summer 2022 Twist Bag collection with a campaign starring the brand’s ambassador and tennis icon Naomi Osaka.

In the campaign video, Naomi sports the new Twist bag near a pool and at her home turf – the tennis court. Think of bright, vivid colours that have been given the LV treatment. The iconic bag highlights the label’s heritage with its LV Twist lock closure, giving it a new dimension.

The Summer 2022 Louis Vuitton Twist bag adds a modern touch to the classic bag, featuring new details such as an embroidered strap and lemon-shaped coin purse; a gold-color chain with enamel charms that are inspired by the emblematic padlock and Monogram flower; a metallic version of the LV Twist lock and a shiny, interlaced leather chain.

Inspiring new ways to accessorise for the summer, the iconic Twist bag explores bright pantones, metallic shades and textures. The bag comes in black, white, tan, beige and brown hues, along with new options including neon pink, baby blue, sky blue, lavender and burnt orange with ombre straps and big, chunky lettering or elegant chains in gold and silver metals. Taking a cue from its classic version, the luxury leather versions feature snake print.

The Twist bag was first introduced in Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2015 collection.

This week, Louis Vuitton presented its Autumn-Winter 2022 menswear showcase at Paris Fashion Week, rolling out the final collection created by Virgil Abloh before he passed away at age 41 in November last year.

Marking a fitting end to a glorious era in the luxury fashion house’s history, the collection titled ‘Louis Dreamhouse’ was unveiled on a stage with a full orchestra performing from an extended dining room table, with other remnants of a home like an empty bed and a clock stopped at 8:00pm on display.

There were nearly 90 models and dancers who brought the show to life and showcased the pieces, which included Virgil hallmarks like spike-eared hats, varsity jackets and colorful editions of the House’s signature Keepall duffel bags.

Virgil was at the helm of Louis Vuitton’s menswear for eight seasons and imbued it with a streetwear sensibility since he joined as the creative director of menswear in 2018.

Louis Vuitton’s iconic Keepall has rolled out a new limited-edition series that’s exclusively available at One&Only Resorts. The collection, designed by Jonathan Riss of Jay Ahr studio, features 10 picturesque visuals of One&Only Resorts around the world in the backdrop, including Dubai’s One&Only Royal Mirage and One&Only The Palm. The One&Only Heritage Collection reflects on the beauty of the resorts with Jonathan’s signature embroidery work.

Each One&Only Resort has two bag designs designated to its location, with each piece inspired by local heritage. “I love to discover different cultures and destinations and each One&Only resort is a true celebration of that. Transforming these vintage bags adds to the storied lifespan with something different, new and compellingly modern,” Jonathan said in a release. For instance, the artist’s design for  One&Only Reethi Rah in Maldives was inspired by the waters of the Indian Ocean, which were presented as swirling aquatic patterns on the bag.

In the UAE, you can find the exquisite bags exclusively at the One&Only Royal Mirage and One&Only The Palm in Dubai. In addition to the exclusive One&Only collection, The Jay Ahr studio will also be designing a capsule of luggage tags, travel pouches and travel totes for each resort.

Set against the azure blue Californian sky, the photographs have been shot by Craig McDean and showcase how the Louis Vuitton bags complement strong, graceful women.
