His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah of Jordan is engaged to Saudi national, Rajwa Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al-Saif. The engagement ceremony took place at the bride-to-be’s father’s home in Riyadh.
The engagement was an intimate affair with just the families and close associates of the royal couple in attendance. HRH King Abdullah II and Queen Rania rejoiced on the occasion, welcoming guests including family members Prince Hassan bin Talal, Prince Hashem bin Abdullah, Prince Ali bin Hussein, Prince Hashim bin Hussein, Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, and Prince Rashid bin Hassan.
Congratulating the couple on social media, an elated Queen Rania wrote, “I didn’t think it was possible to hold so much joy in my heart! Congratulations to my eldest, Prince Hussein, and his beautiful bride-to-be, Rajwa.”
HRH Queen Rania added, “Excited to welcome my third daughter, Al Hussein’s bride-to-be, Rajwa, to the family! We’re so happy for you both.”
The Royal Hashemite Court also took to Twitter to announce the couple’s engagement. According to news reports, Rajwa was born on April 28 1994 in Riyadh. She attended high school in Saudi Arabia before studying at Syracuse University’s College of Architecture in New York.
The engagement comes a month after Prince Hussein’s sister, Princess Iman, got engaged to New York-based financier Jameel Alexander Thermiotis.
